Founded in 1982 by Matin M. Khan (Late).

Emkay Books International was born from a simple but powerful idea: bring the world's finest books within reach of every Pakistani child. At a time when internationally published educational material was virtually unavailable locally, Matin M. Khan saw a gap — and chose to fill it.

He pioneered access to a new generation of colourful, engaging, and educationally rigorous titles — books that combined the highest editorial standards with the kind of storytelling that makes learning genuinely enjoyable. The company he built didn't just import books; it changed what Pakistani schools believed was possible for their students.
